on my tippy toes.
My dad came for a visit this last week to spend some time with us. He has recently retired and has more time on his hands. He was a wonderful help around the house and teased me that I needed to get myself a "man servant" to keep up with all the household jobs and carting the kids everywhere. I whole-heartedly agreed! I wonder how much those cost?
Anyway, he oiled the wheels on my windows and sliding glass door, (who'd a thought you could do such a thing...they just fly open now!) put new chair pads on all my kitchen chairs and barstools so they wouldn't scratch the wood floors, he trimmed trees, weeded planters, took out the trash, washed down my dirty barstools and made them look new again, helped the kids with homework, treated us to dinner, and took me to lunch everyday, bought me some new shoes, cooked and did dishes!!! (And no ladies, he is not for sale!!) I'm not sure what I did to deserve such treatment, but I'm not complaining... just wondering... Dad, when are you coming again?
It was so much fun to have him here. I love his company as he always makes me feel like I'm pretty darn great. One of the highlights of his trip was a nice lunch with my Grandma Davis (89 yrs. old and lookin super cute, I might add.) and my mom. As many of you know, my parents are divorced, so it's a rare moment to have both my mom and dad with me at the same time. It was a little bit of heaven. Thanks so much Dad for all your special treatment this week, I love you and you're the best!
nice face Tanner.
